Funding

Acorn Foundation is a charitable trust operating in Tauranga, New Zealand. It was established in 2003, to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will to benefit the western Bay of Plenty community forever. People can also make gifts during their lifetime to build up their fund and maximise the tax rebates now available.

The Acorn Foundation is based on a model established in New York in the 1920's. The Foundation manages funds on behalf of its donors. The investment income earned is distributed annually to charities chosen by our donors or donors may choose to leave the distributions to the Trustees discretion.

You can also contribute to the 'Creative Bay of Plenty Endowment Fund' at Acorn Foundation. Your gift will help support the creative arts community in Tauranga, every year, forever. To make an instant donation to Creative Bay of Plenty in support of the arts, visit the Acorn Foundation website.
