Learn the intricate art of Encaustic Wax Painting with beeswax in its natural state, along with imported colour-rich pigments. Discover the joys of colour with others also new to the medium, whilst bathing in the delicious scent of beeswax. Relax with a delicious morning and afternoon tea. The aim of this workshop is to teach the basic of ENCAUSTIC Wax painting in a very relaxed environment that will cover all core techniques while introducing the safety and equipment of Encaustic Hot Wax.
Also included are the following:
4) Collage and marking making
Each student will complete and take home at least 3 works for a keepsake after a fun and interesting day.
What to bring:
An apron to protect your clothes; very small dried objects eg. leaves, feathers, tissue papers, lace (MUST be cotton); oil paints and any oil based art products.
There will be an hour break for lunch (there is a lovely cafe at the Historic Village) or bring your own. Coffee and tea is provided plus a morning tea of homemade baked goods.
